The majority of chrome trim in 60's-80's automotive interior was achieved by vacuum metalized plastics. Over time the finish gets worn or deteriorates.
If you want to restore your OEM dash board, instrument cluster bezels, center consoles, arm rests, HVAC vents, etc then you have come to the right place. Mueller Corporation has been in business since 1955 and has over 20 years experience in vacuum metalized chrome restoration.
At one time our doors were open to a number of restoration shops around the country but we found that the quality of the stripping and preparation process was not consistent. we have since entered into an exclusive agreement with Instrument Specialties http://www.instrument-specialties.com/ who is a leading restoration shop who specializes in full dash restoration including, interior chrome restoration, gauges, clocks, etc. Please contact them directly and they will be glad to give you pricing and lead-times for your project. They will take your old parts strip them down to bare plastic, do all necessary repair and prep work, then send us parts in bulk for the vacuum metalized chrome process. When the parts are returned to them they will do all the finish and assembly for a full restoration.
CV Platers who were once one of the leading interior chrome restoration shops in the country has decided to close shop to work on other ventures. We have worked out an agreement with them so all references from them please let Instrument Specialties know about.
With many of the smaller shops ceasing this type of work we are now proud to be known as the largest Interior Chrome Restoration shop in the US and possibly the world. Thank you for your business
